Sure Foundation Homeschool Tutorial (SFHT) is a Christian homeschool cooperative created to encourage and help parents in educating their children by offering classes for elementary, middle and high school students. We currently meet on Thursdays at St. John’s United Methodist Church in Hampstead Maryland.

Classes run for 32 weeks, from September to May. We offer academic and elective classes, such as Literature & Composition, Logic & Debate, Chemistry, Financial Literacy, Art, Cooking, Embroidery and Crochet.

Parents are not required to teach, but we do ask parents to help with the day-to-day needs, such as class assistant, hall monitor, lunch duty and clean up.

We also require parents to continue teaching at home and monitor their child’s assignments. Parents make final decisions on grades and credits. Tutors provide feedback  in areas such as class participation and assignment completion to assist in making these decisions. Parents remain the homeschool supervisors for their families.
